A clumsy bard, who makes up for his lack of physicality with a silver tongue, wit, and deception. Outgoing and gregarious, but with a bit of a nervous streak tinged with anxiety. He seems to be outrunning his past, and is never consistent about where he hails from or whom he has engendered as company in the past.

Perpetually broke, and not the smartest with his money. He carries with him an exaggeratedly large tome in which he is "inscribing his epic poem" that "invested parties have interest in publishing." He isn't the most brave persona, but what he lacks in courage he makes up for in cunning and empathy.

Mondo Swiftspeak is in debt to a shadow criminal cartel and in order to repay them, he is sent on various missions to gather intel on their opposition. He finds he can do this best by latching onto roaming mercenaries and joining their journeys into territory he wouldn't normally be able to contend with on his own. The cartel that employs him simply goes by "The Hand," and they send scouts to check on his progress periodically. His "epic poem" is actually an encyclopedia of the various politics, weaknesses, and Machiavellian tactics one could use against various provinces throughout the land.

Mondo's anxiety and nervousness are attributable to the fact that he is almost certain that he is being watched at all times. The debt incurred comes from a crippling addiction to gambling and drugs.

Once tangled in a great romance, he vows to win his forlorn love back after settling his debts and getting clean. Hopefully he can earn some renown on his quests to be a "hero" and win her hand.
